Squared Points has had a much bigger refresh than just a new coat of violet. This update brings a redesigned website, a visual profile studio, custom profile URLs, account-type perks, alongside fixes and more flexible earning settings.

Your existing SP, progression and purchases are preserved. This is not a points reset, and it does not automatically change the community's earning rates or store prices.

A redesigned Squared Points

• A consistent black-and-violet geometric design across the website and dashboards, with matching updates for supported Twitch Extension and OBS views.

• Simpler public navigation: Home, Rankings, Community, Rewards and Learn.

• Four member dashboard areas: Home, My profile, Points & rewards and Account.

• Improved card spacing, checkbox alignment, mobile layouts and error screens.

Old page links redirect to their new locations, so existing bookmarks should keep working.

Edit your profile by looking at it

My profile is now a visual studio. Click the part you want to change, such as your name, pronouns, description or games, to open a focused editor. Appearance tools sit alongside the preview.

• Different profile sections can wait for review independently. An edit to your description no longer blocks an unrelated section.

• Your approved content stays visible while replacements are reviewed.

• Frames use one selector with previews, including eligible tier frames, owned designs and designs you can purchase from the selector.

• Profile Frames is an access unlock, not something you must keep separately equipped. You still need that capability through a purchase or an eligible account type before using a frame design.

• Avatar clipping and frame layering have been corrected, with more consistent presentation across supported surfaces.

• Accents, titles, provider-picture controls, badges and showcases are easier to find together.

Editing, selecting a frame or purchasing an unlock still does not make your profile public.

Custom profile URLs

The custom-URL placeholder has become a working monthly subscription system. When applications are enabled, you can apply for an address such as /@your-name from My profile → Visibility & URL.

• Names are reviewed before becoming active.

• Eligible profile links and sharing actions prefer your custom address. Your permanent profile-ID link continues to work.

• The application screen explains blockers such as a private profile, required Terms acceptance or insufficient SP.

• Continuous subscriptions retain their approved renewal price. A cheaper current offer can be selected explicitly.

• If you cannot renew, there is a grace period before the address is disabled and temporarily reserved for reclaiming.

• Cancellation stops future renewal; making your profile private hides the address immediately.

• Custom-address navigation and refresh issues that could send visitors home or show an incorrect not-found page have also been repaired.

Annual subscriptions and prepaid time are not included yet.

Account types and included perks

You can be assigned an account type that includes selected benefits, such as profile editing, frames, titles, accent access, social-link capacity or a custom URL without a recurring SP charge.

• Everyone starts as Standard unless assigned another type.

• Your type and its benefits appear under Points & rewards → Tier benefits, separately from your earned geometric tier.

• Included access is not a permanent purchase. If your type changes, your purchased items remain yours, while unavailable included choices are retained but hidden.

• Losing included custom-URL access gives you a protection period. You will not silently start being charged SP: paid renewal needs a separate, explicit confirmation.

• Account types do not grant staff powers, moderation exemptions or extra earning multipliers.

Existing Verified badge holders keep their recognition as Legacy Verified. It is a historical badge rather than a new account-type assignment; new Legacy Verified grants are closed.

A tidier rewards store

• Related rewards can appear as one product with selectable variants instead of filling the store with separate cards.

• Product detail pages show the selected variant's price, requirements, ownership and availability.

• The store has pagination and category filters.

• Purchase controls explain owned, pending, cooldown and locked states.

More flexible earning and scheduled changes

• Supported earning allowances and booster-use limits can be explicitly unlimited.

• Zero cooldown means no wait; zero reward means no award.

• Decimal-enabled settings support up to two decimal places. SP amounts themselves remain whole points.

• Boosters can be configured above 10×, while the community's configured bonus limits still apply.

• Eligible store discounts can reach 100%.

• Changes can apply immediately, next Sydney day, at the next actual main season, or at a chosen date and time. Pending changes can be cancelled or replaced with a recorded reason.

• Activity already in progress keeps the relevant saved rules, waits and allowances. Changes do not rewrite earlier earnings or the price of an existing purchase. Restarting or linking accounts does not reset those protections.

• These are configuration improvements, not an announcement that every reward has increased. Random reward ranges are still deferred.

Discord: one account across approved servers

Squared Points can operate in multiple approved community Discord servers while keeping your balance, profile and progression shared.

Daily, chat and voice allowances are tracked separately for each approved server. Reposting the same message across servers is still subject to duplicate-message protection.

Clearer moderation and appeals

Members now have Account → Notices & appeals to read moderation decisions and request a review.

Staff tools support warnings, removal of approved optional profile content, and timed or indefinite SP suspensions. A suspension blocks new activity without confiscating existing balances or permanent purchases. It also hides public profile presentation while active.

Suspended members can still sign in, read their balance/history, access notices and appeals, and use supported data controls. Appeals require an independent authorised reviewer. Ending a suspension does not backfill missed activity or silently restart URL billing.

This release does not add automatic Twitch/Discord bans or other external platform sanctions.

Better alerts, sharing and public pages

• OBS and Discord announcements support Compact, Feature and Celebration presentation presets, with relevant event details.

• Existing Discord role-ping controls and cooldowns remain in place; no new pings are enabled automatically.

• OBS leaderboard sources recover the latest retained board after reload/reconnection without needing another points event.

• Clearer install guidance and Share/Copy link actions make the app easier to use outside a normal browser tab.

• Public pages are served as readable HTML, helping visitors and crawlers see content without relying entirely on JavaScript.

• Public-profile search and AI indexing is a separate opt-in, off by default. A public but non-indexed profile is still readable by visitors; indexing preferences cannot force every scraper or third-party cache to comply.

Poll-editor failures that could leave the screen black have been fixed, with recovery screens added so an editor error does not blank the entire app.

Still to come

This update does not include random reward ranges, annual/prepaid URLs, quests/bounties, uploaded profile media, combined account types or the Creator Program.

Squared Points remains a non-monetary community system. This update introduces no real-money payouts or earning advantages for paid Twitch events.

This update gives your Squared Points profile more personality, with new free sections, badges and a proper editing workflow. Your existing points, purchases and progression stay intact.

Make your profile yours

Open My profile from your account menu or dashboard to preview your profile and edit its content. New section shortcuts take you straight to the relevant field, with clearer keyboard focus and improved mobile layout.

- Pronouns: choose up to two preset words, such as she/they, or submit custom pronouns. Presets save immediately; custom text goes through review.

- Games I play: list up to ten games and arrange them in your preferred order. Games from the community catalogue save immediately; custom names need review.

- Looking to play: let people know what you'd like to team up for.

- Interests: share a little more about yourself beyond the leaderboard.

- Section visibility: hide supported sections and showcases without losing their saved content.

These new content sections are free. Name, description and social-link editing use their separate permanent store unlocks. Social-link access includes three slots, with additional slots purchasable up to ten in total. Frames, accent colours and your connected-platform profile picture stay together in the dashboard's Customisation tab.

Clearer editing and moderation

Your approved profile stays in place while a new proposal is reviewed. You can preview pending changes, withdraw a proposal and expand previous submissions to see what you submitted and any review reason. Immediate changes, such as preset pronouns or removing optional text, don't need to wait for unrelated edits. Reviewers apply only the fields being reviewed, so an older proposal cannot silently overwrite newer changes.

Profile badges

Profiles now support Staff, Verified, and Achievement Badges, using built-in icons and decorative colours.

- Staff badges follow configured Squared Points staff roles.

- Achievement badges follow their configured earned milestones.

- Champion recognition distinguishes the reigning champion from past champions, without repeating the same champion indicator beside your name.

Full profiles can expand to show more badges, while supported compact views show a smaller selection. You can hide badge types where the community's settings allow it. Badges are decorative: they don't award points or grant permissions. “Verified” is a community badge, not a claim of identity verification or Twitch or Discord endorsement.

Privacy stays in your hands

Editing, buying an unlock or equipping a cosmetic does not publish your profile. Private members can use their own preview without joining public leaderboards. Public profile content includes only approved, visible fields. Hidden sections and pending proposals stay out of public views. Queued OBS leaderboard updates also recheck current profile privacy and badge eligibility before display.
